I got offered two free tickets to go to a big concert. I asked my best friend to go as this is her most favourite band and she has been always going on and on about one day going to their concert. So we were meant to be going this Friday and everything was great!

I told my husband who then proceeded to have a mood and stormed off! He was angry that I didnt invite him and the fact that I asked her first! He said I was really rude for not thinking to invite him! Anyway he does not even particularly like this band and he is certainly not a "social" or outgoing person! So my friend was the obvious choice (and before anyone says, NO he does not have a problem with her or our relationship - I have known her since a child and they both have always got on great with each other!)

So afterwards he was so moody and funny towards me for days and his feelings were clearly so hurt, not to mention he has been having the most stressful time at work lately that I felt so bad and guilty for days for not asking to treat him first - the mood in our house was terrible....so in the end I made up an excuse and cancelled with my friend so I could take him! When I told him what I did he said he didnt want to go and that I should take my friend instead. He seemed ok with it all in the end, maybe by what I did reassured him that he did come first...so I thought it would be ok to go with her. Now I made up another excuse and said we could go ( I never told her the real reason was my husband was being that way!) but she says she has made other plans already so cant go!

Now I am really annoyed and frustrated. Firstly I can not mess about the person who is sorting out the free tickets for me - and feels like I have messed him about long enough by not getting back to confirm! And the tickets are for 2mrw! My friend cant go, my husband doesnt want to go - I DO want to go yet cant really go on my own and there is no one else I can go with! I am quite annoyed....and worst off is that I cant speak to anyone about this - normally I would speak to my best friend or even my hubby for advice on stuff - but obviously cant speak to either in this occassion!!!

I'd think that 95% of men would have been delighted that you opted to go with your friend rather than make him go :-)

Your freind is properly annoyed and honestly she properly knows your lieing about the excuse you gave her. You should have told your husband to grow up and just gone, you say he's having a hard time at work so maybe this why he acted out of character? why not ask him again and plead him with to go with you? if he dosen't then be annoyed at him!
