How would you define the word "outgoing?" And is it such a bad thing to be on the shy and quiet side? I want to work as an Au Pair abroad, but one of the families i am interested in says they are looking for an outgoing girl. I do like to socialize sometimes, and i have a good sense of humour, but i have days where i like to keep to myself and i have moments where i can feel quiet and shy, but i dont think that is a bad thing, and i dont think anyone can be outgoing all the time. So, i'm wondering if i should go to work for that family ?. You see, i had a bad experience with another family last year, who are actually from the same country as this family, and i felt home sick and stayed in my room some of the time because it was my first time living away from home, and with a new family, and we didnt know much of each other's languages.

However, this family knows a lot of English, so the language wouldn't be a problem this time, and i think, because i have already lived away from home once, i probably wont get home sick. I also have similar interests to this family, whereas i didnt have much in common with the last family.I do think their language is very difficult to learn, but i love their country and the culture. I think my family wouldnt want me to do this again ( i still live with my family at the moment ) but i am old enough to make my own decisions, and i think it would be good to try again. I just dont want to let this family down like i did with the last one.
