Hmmm... good one. No job can certainly be attributed to the economy, especially for an educated individuals. Sounds like you're going to have to get creative. But are you sure it's just a luck issue? I was in engineering school and had a staggering experience with my thermodynamics professor once:I was in her office to take a make-up quiz. I failed it, right there in her office, for stupid mistake reasons - rushed through it without thinking. I ended up having a break down session (quite unusual for me). After a few minutes my professor looked at me and asked, "How long have you been telling yourself you're not good enough?"Talk about a slap in the face to wake up and realize that I had simply been terrified the entire time of not making it through. "I'm not good enough". I think my unconscious mind had been playing this on repeat for lord knows how long. A bunch of self-pep sessions, meditation, and gutsy hard work and here I am having the career of a lifetime. You can do it. Just go and do it. Don't question yourself - there are plenty of people out there who will do that for you. Tell the world what you want, and demand that you get it. You CAN do it. But, you've got to quit thinking and just 'do'. I'm on a quotes kick tonight, and perhaps you'll enjoy this one:I’ve been described as a tough and noisy woman, a prize fighter, a man-hater, you name it. They call me Battling Bella, Mother Courage, and a Jewish mother with more complaints than Portnoy. There are those who say I’m impatient, impetuous, uppity, rude, profane, brash, and overbearing. Whether I’m any of those things, or all of them, you can decide for yourself. But whatever I am —and this ought to be made very clear—I am a very serious woman. -Bella Abzug

You should start by knowing that you can do whatever you set your mind to. If you think that you will amount to nothing but a housewife then that is what you will be. You need to break free of the way you are thinking and seeing yourself. Your mind is a powerfull thing. Why do you think you are highly educated??? Luck has nothing to do with this it is you. You need to start thinking more positive and dont be afraid of taking chances in life. Think of it as learning as you go. You are doing all this for yourself. And if you are not happy change direction. The world is your playground and you can do whatever you want.So in short if being a houswife makes you truly happy then go for it. But if you know you can do more and be more then do more and be the best you can be for yourself. Positive thinking usually attracts positive things in your life.
