writes:i met this girl online who i found very pretty. shes local. i got to know her a bit online but she didnt talk much. we saw each other for the first time when walking by each with our own group of friends. i saw her looking too but we didnt make any contact. since than she has been speaking to me online alot more. how do i bring up the subject of meeting her casually to at least say hi without giving of the impression i like her or am desperate to speak to her! thank you Reply to this Question

reader, anonymous, writes (13 July 2008): Don't be so shy. Just say you saw her and wanted to talk, but you were both with friends. Tell her you would like to meet and talk sometime. That is not so "desperate" sounding, is it? (smile) She may even be wondering why you haven't said so before. (?) You know, most girls still expect the guy/bloke to make the first move. Surely you can manage that...or you are no fellow bloke of mine...(lol!). Go for it! Tom

 just say 'hi' to her, and just talk about intrests you know music, films, that sorta stuff and don't freak out just talk to her like your talkin to your mates it works like a charm i should know lol :)
