 when I was your age, we went on group dates..like you and two of your friends and ur guy and two of his friends..Parents dropped us off at the movies and we walked to go eat, we had plenty to talk about no awkwardness and your friends were right there to talk about it

Take a deep breath and just ask the worst he can do is say no. I bet he'll thank you for it as i expect he's probaly having the same dilemma!
