 You ask as if it is a requirement and there is a quota to fill ..lol.Do it IF and WHEN you feel like doing it providing you are in an appropriate place to do so. It may be often, may be very infrequent. Either is ok. I really dont think it is an issue unless it was compulsive and otherwise interfering in your usual activities, routine, or sense of appropriate circumstances in which to indulge.

Do it as often as is comfortable, but do NOT do it in inappropriate places like at school or at a friends house etc. Do it only in the comfort of your own home, your own room if you have one, or in the bathroom with the door closed.
