writes:I am wondering, how often do people have contact with their bf/gf?And by contact, I don't just mean seeing them face to face, but talking on the phone, sms/text messages, email, instant messages online etc...I liek to have contact with my bf every day. I understand hes busy and so on, but its not like I'm expecting a 3 hour conversation each day, I jsut want some form of cotnact- even something as simple as a text message to my phone asking how my day was, or saying goodnight. But he seems to be fine with not contacting me every day. This kinda upsets me because it makes me feel like maybe he doesnt like me as much as I like him.Sometimes I won't contact him for a day, just to see if he will contact me- and sometimes he will, but most of the time he won't and I jsut feel really let down.

reader, anonymous, writes (10 January 2009): Me and my boyfriend have contact everyday and its been like that ever since we got together in high school!
It does help that we see each other for about an hour in university everyday, and then we will either go out or lounge around one of our homes in the evenings. If either of us dont see each other in uni for some reason and cant see each other in the evening then he will either ring me or give me a text and ill do the same too.
I guess though every person is different, and every relationship is different. You should speak to your boyfriend about this as us aunts can just suggest reasons why he doesnt speak to you everyday where he will beable to tell you the real reason. Untill you ask him, dont read to deeply into things as he could not think of this as a big deal where as your thinking all sorts of thoughts!
I hoped this helped babe, remember every relationship needs communication, so if your ever worried or going through a hard patch talk to your boyfriend about it! xx

 my girlfriend is really busy in college and very focus, We text each other every day and talk on the phone every night. It helps between dates lol. It really just depends on your boyfriend.I would talk to him and figure something out.

it seems that you really depend on this guy and you shouldnt let him control your emotions so easily like that. not every couple talks to each other every day. some have to be constantly together. i am in a 5 year relationship and my boyfriend lives far away but i see him every other weekend and we sometimes dont talk for days. but we love each other very much. we know that without communication. this is the guy that i am going to marry and am happy that we dont depend on each other. he is in my thoughts every minute of every day and not seeing him as much means that it is all the more precious
