cupid77 agony auntI went about once a month for the first 6 months and then once every two weeks and when it got closer to my due date, once a week. I'm sure all doctors are about the same, but they will let you know when to make your next appointment when you go. They will probablly have you do a urine sample, they might take your blood, they will at some point have you get an ultrasound. You will get to listen to your babies heart beat. It's been a while for me, but it is definatelly not anything to worry about. I allways looked forward to listening to the heart beat and the doctor would allways point out where his head was and his feet. It was neat. As far as questions, they will need to know when you last had your period, and will have you fill out paperwork about your family history. Congrats & good luck!

The quick and easy read is at:

The longer one, but very comprehensive is here:

"I hate doctors" is such a strong statement; they are committed to keeping you healthy. Perhaps you need to find one with a gentle demeanor and easy bedside manner?

Take good care of yourself!
