reader, anonymous, writes (2 December 2008): I just started dating again after 5 years of being with the same person so I'm a little rusty. The guy I'm seeing tends to contact me every 2-4 days. Which at first I thought was kind of cold, but when we're together it's great so I guess just go with the flow.You could hint nicely about how you love hearing from him to motivate more communication but some people just aren't into talking on the phone. Granted he called me more frequently when he was trying to get with me but now it a steady every 2-4 days and if he sees me online we chat a little. It depends on the guy I guess.

personally this is a tough one to call. It depends how much you like the guy mainly. I honestly don't believe there is a set number guideline to follow as long as he isn't calling every hour. He is calling or texting too much when you start getting annoyed by it,but if you enjoy talking to the guy than its not that big of a deal. Im sure he is wondering the same thing because im always worrying about blowing up a girls phone with calls so i wait to make sure im not being annoying. Help him out a little bit and call him letting him know your interested. i wish a girl would do that for me! if its 2-4 days than he is worried about calling you too much.
