While either the pill or a condom on there own will be fine, it's always best to "double up" and use two methods of birth control (such as a pill and a condom) just to be on the safe side.

The best birth control is abstinence. However, since abstinence is not plausible, then the next 'best' thing is to wear a condom and take a pill. This would help limit the chances for any unwanted pregnancies.
