I gave him my number but I'm not sure if I scared him away because I had it ready to go on a piece of paper. Was that a wrong idea? It's only been three days, I'm just curious..

Some guys have the intention to call but wait a few days to not seem too eager. Some guys will call the very same day or the next day. It just depends on the guy.
I would not worry too much about it. If he calls he calls. If not, oh well. It's silly to hang around waiting for a dude to call.

I think if he was interested he would've called or texted the same day. I don't think giving your number in such a way was "scary" or off putting. You put yourself out there and he didn't reciprocate so leave it alone now and let it go. Trying to contact him or still trying to show your interest will make you seem desperate.

In my opinion, you wait until he calls - it's up to him. And if he doesn't call, let it go.

Three days is a bit long to wait, I think I would send a girl a text after work the same day if I was genuinely interested in her enough to take her number.

I'd say three days is about how long you should give him. You can try once to contact him, but if he doesn't respond it might be time to move on. I doubt the way you gave him your number scared him off.
