You should wait to see if you get your period for the month and if you don't than get a pregnancy test.Or if you do have your period and you don't bleed like you normally will, you will still need to take a pregnancy test. With your boyfriend wise, you should sit down and have a deep conversation. Ya'll both should talk about the possibilities and if he does not respond with a positive attitude than you need to think whats best for you to do. However, if you know you can do this buy yourself than go far it. Think twice before having an abortion. Remember you knew the consequences when you chose to have unprotective sex.

reader, anonymous, writes (19 August 2008): Go get the test and DO NOT TELL YOU'RE parents! Only if you are pregnant, cause if you do tell them you are having sex they will not trust you again. I had my daughter when I was 19 back in 2005 and now Im 22 with a two year old, IT'S SO HARD. I miss the things that I used to do, I love my daughter I just should have waited, and the father is not around like he should be. If you are pregnant, think real hard about the rest of you're life...Good Luck!

 im 15and i had un protected sex and im scared to death i dont know if im pregant or not no one will take me to get the test so i have to wait here till i start my period i hope i do and honestly u dont know if the guy will stay or not it depends if there scared and if there a good guy my boyfriends says he will stay if i am b ut how do i know that for shure u need to have a back up plain get some other way to get money coming in cuz u never know a guy can leave at anytime

my moms side and dads side usally get pregnant before the age of 18.
i wanted to be the girl who didnt but i think i mite be pregnant but to top it off he said that he doesnt know if he wants to be there for me. im sitting her crying and shaking.
im praying to god im not!
if any one has advice for me please let me know.

First of all you cannot be sure of anything until you have taken a test. If you are pregnant then you need to think very carefully of what to do. Your boyfriend may say he will be there for you but when the day arrives will he stick around.
You must think whats best for you. I fell pregnant at 14 and wanted to keep it but my parents would not allow it. i am now 30 with a wonderful husband & almost 4 year old child who is my life. I often think back that if i would have kept the baby i would now be 30 years of age with a 16 year old child and would of unlikely had no childhood of my own. Please think carefully about you and the rest of your life.

I Was 19 when i got pregnant n now i am 22 with a 2 year old i still feel as if i was way too young to have a baby,
and me and my sons father are no longer together.
I am now pretty much raising my son on my own..
So please think about ur actions, because babys are cute.
But its a huge responsibilty and a LIFETIME commitment.
I love my son with all my heart but wish i would have maybe waited a little bit longer to have my son.

I recently have gotten myself in the same situation as you... but you need to calm down because if you get yourself all stressed out your period will delay itself and you'll get even more stressed. Most people who answer these questions say it takes a LOONNGG time to get an accurate reading from an E.P.T. test, but if you go to any drug store, or any store carrying them, you will find that the majority of the tests are to be used 5 Days Prior to Missed Period.. it is actually kind of difficult to find one for after your missed period, so If I were you I would go pick up a couple E.P.T. tests and wait until a couple days before your period and test. If it does not read it correctly, wait a few more days and see if you can get a clear reading then. Good luck, God be with you.

reader, anonymous, writes (30 July 2007): hello there, im actually in the same position as you are now, the difference is im 27 years old, i have a job, i pay for my own expenses but im still scared. a friend told me that from the time that you had your last period, you can count to 14 days, after that 14th day the 3 days following are the days strongest, for a possibility for you to get pregnant if you had unsafe sex. after the 3 days window (as they called it) chances are already low, just make sure that you urinate immediately after sexual intercourse. My BF and i always practiced safe sex by withdrawal for 6 years already and i never had a problem with pregnancy, now he wants us to have a baby but were not yet married so its still scary. if you and your BF are both young, tendencies will be, both of you would be very shock and there will be more arguments which will lead to separation etch etch. This is part of you being human. So try to be calm, a problem will not be solve if you face it with a hot head.

reader, anonymous, writes (10 June 2007): ok take a deep breath i am only 13 so i dont no 2 much bout the question but i can tell u about your bf, so is he good with kids,does he have younger sister or brother 4 or under maybe?if so thats a good sign he will b there cuz he will know wt 2 do he might b freaked out but so r u right? second do u feel that he cares about u? does he help u through stuff? well if so there is another good sign!3rd, talk 2 him and just find out if he would b there if u were pregnant he doesnt have 2 know if u r just yet,just pic his brain 4 info like that, and about your parents........thats the scaryest part but wt i would do is write them a note and just try 2 get it done and over with and if they start screaming at u just hold your stomach and go"AH THE BABY":)

 You can get pregnant right away - conception is a time frame of up to a few days (you need an egg and sperm to make a baby, but sperm can hang around for a while before they die off - usually a viable timeframe of 48 hours). This is why the emergency pill can be effective for up to 72 hours after unprotected sex. You can find out if you are pregnant in a few weeks time by way of a early detection pregnancy kit from your local pharmacy. However, there is another emergency method that can be effective for up to 5 days after unprotected sex - if you have a coil fitted by a doctor. There are certain times of the month when you are more likely to conceive than others (usually mid-way between periods) but this is not a fool-proof method! Even if you find out you are not pregnant then you need to remember how anxious you felt about it and learn by the mistake - you wouldn't be stressed out now if you had used protection. See a nurse or doctor to discuss your contraception options if you are contemplating a sexual relationship as you are quite young to be dealing with parenthood!

 It takes about two days for you to actually become pregnant (ie sperm meets egg and fertilises) but for you to show a positive pregnancy test depends on your cycle and the brand of test you use. Generally the best thing to do is wait and see if your period comes and if it doesn't take a test then or see your doctor who can take one for you. If you're not pregnant make sure you go on the pill and get some free condoms. Since all contraception can be got free nowadays there is no excuse to have unprotected sex anymore. As for whether your boyfriend will be there for you or not, you're the only person who knows the answer to that but just for future reference I think it's a mistake to have sex with anyone who you can't trust.

reader, anonymous, writes (9 June 2007): you cant tell if you're pregnant until you miss your period, a pregnancy test wont work before then. all you can do is relax and wait because there really is nothing else you can do (except to practice safe sex which im sure you know from this scare)
