So if anyone has gone through this or anything please? I'm not even okay with him leaving and don't know what I'll do without him but I'm trying to be supportive. So, the bitter truth about the air force? Reply to this Question Share |

As a minimum he will have to do 1 weekend a month and 2 weeks usually in the summer for training. With today's wars there is a very good possibility he will be deployed overseas for anywhere from 30 days to 12 or more months. However the AF normally tries to keep deployments under 6 months with a 6 month break if possible. To many variables to tell you anything else.

That depends on a lot of thing, his MOS ( which type of job he is doing) and what he signed up to do.
Best info you BOTH can get is from his recruiter.
