I've seen questions about it on here before. So, what exactly does it do? Do people take and then have sex? Is it supposed to increase pleasure (sexually)? Have any of you taken it before and then had sex? What was it like?I'm anti-drug but I have always wondered about ecstasy and exactly what it does. Thank you, :)

I had already been drinking and he only allowed me to take half a pill, so don't know if that had something to do with it. Or maybe he gave me something else, lol. I traded half the other pill for some weed later on and got high on that, so I hope the one I traded it for got a little something out of it.
As for the risks.. the thing is most young people don't know about the risks. They just think it's cool and don't think there are any risks besides getting caught by their parents and grounded. If people who are well aware of the risk chose to take that risk, then by all means. I think it's idiotic to climb Mount Everest since so many people die from it, but it's their personal choice, and I'm all for personal frredom of choice. However, young people, especially teenagers or early 20-somethings, they don't really know much about any risks. They think it's all fun and games. Sure, back then when I did some drugs, I "knew" there were risks. But I didn't fully understand those risks. It's got to do with your brain being able to understand consequences. I just didn't get it really. And neither does other teenagers or early 20-somethings. You can tell them over and over what risks there are, but they just don't get it. And that's the worrying part, when I see folks I went to school with who are now diagnosed with mental disorders because of drugs. They were perfectly fine, then they did drugs, and now their future is.. well, not so bright you could say, and a struggle.
I can't imagine that they chose that for themselves. I believe they didn't know better, that's why. They didn't intend for this to happen, and it's not a risk they were prepared to take. They honestly didn't think something like this would happen to them.

Good point chigirl. With uncontrolled drugs like ecstasy, you are taking a gamble every time, as they are not controlled substances, they could contain anything. One dodgy pill and that could be it, you could be dead or a basket case. Which is why, now I have grown up a bit, I would never recommend anyone take drugs. It is a personal choice. But humans are thrill seekers and curious. If we weren't prepared to take risks for knowledge and experiences we would never have gotten to the moon for example. We also gamble with our lives daily in motor vehicles. Obviously taking drugs is a risk that isn't quite as necessary as travelling to work or school, but you get my point. Sky diving. That is one adrenalin rush which many people have died from, but that doesn't stop people's curiosity to try it. Same with drugs. Its all down to personal choice in life. Are you prepared to risk your life for an experience?
Also, you got tired and needed to sleep? Don't know what you took but that was not E.

I don't know exactly what ecstasy is made out of, but a quick google search will help you with that. As for the condoms, they have absolutely nothing to do with the drug. Ecstacy is just a word to describe a feeling, after all. And that's the intention of the Trojan condoms. It's not a reference to the drug. And ecstacy drugs are seldom taken to have sex, they are taken when you go partying. As for certain comments on here... you can end up a veggie even if you aren't stupid about taking drugs. In what ways can you be smart about taking drugs? It's a risky game, you gamble with your health every time you do a heavier drug, such as ecstacy, meth, heroin etc. With the less intensive drugs, such as cigarettes, hasjisj, alcohol (depending on amount of consumption and whether it's governmenally controlled or moonshine) the health risks are more long term and dependent on consumption. The health risks also vary from drug to drug. Too much paracetamol will destroy your liver. Too much alcohol will do the same, in addition to clogging up your weins. Cigarettes ruin your lungs. But the heavier chemical drugs, and hasjisj too for that matter, they screw up your brain. They cause damage in the brain that is non-reversable aka you turn into a veggie. Getting high feels great though, that's why people do drugs after all. I tried ecstacy, although I was recommended not to by my dealer friend (yes, I've had some pretty shady friends through the years). He didn't want me to take it, but I really wanted to try. I had a downer though. Got really tired and needed to sleep, got emotional and was crying.

I used to do Ecstacy fairly often and it's exactly how others have described. If you get a good roll (high) it's the happiest you've ever been, you're energectic, you love everyone and everything. I remember the first time I did it, I wished I could feel that way all the time, everyday.
As far as sex goes, I never had an interest in sex while on it and never had sex while on it. I know some say it's a great experience, I personally don't think I'd have the concentration to even have sex with someone while on ecstacy. At the time, I smoked cigarettes as well and didn't have a desire to smoke them either.

All that joy and sensation you get for those few hours is basically balanced out with pretty bad and depressing come down were you can't even look at the people you were telling your deepest personal secrets to because your brain can't process thoughts and there's no chance of sleeping either but that doesn't last too long. The next day is a lot like a hangover from alcohol but your brain functions less well for the day and depending on how much dancing you were doing your body will be sore.

OP everyone knows the possible side effects of long term use and dangers but have a look at the list for Tylenol or any other over the counter drug and you'll see they all have crazy potential side effects.
In fact anything you "abuse" in the long term will lead to depression and sleep disorders etc., playing video games, over-training in sports etc.
No offence to Tisha but that streetdrugs site is a scare tactics site that uses very patronizing terms to describe people who have taken drugs, calling it abuse and how we're crazy devotees etc.
I never take anyone who is anti-drugs seriously because they've never done it, they don't know shit and everyone takes drugs whether it's alcohol, caffeine, nicotine or paracetamol and they are all quite dangerous if abused. It's like a virgin describing what sex is like.
This by far the most balanced documentary I've seen on it and it gives you a good insight into what people look like on it and why they take it.

Personally the vast majority of times I've taken it were awesome, sometimes incredible and very rarely bad.
The feeling is hard to describe, pretty much impossible but it's basically like having full body orgasms for about 3-4 hours. Feeling incredibly happy, and loving everything and everyone. If you're in a group taking it then it's pretty much the closest you will ever bond with anyone. Think of the love buzz you sometimes get with alcohol where a stranger can be your best friend for the evening and multiply that by 100.
You get amazing orgasmic rushes through your body that feel so good your eyes will literally roll to the back of your head. Every touch, every sensation heightens that and it can create this kind of rush. You do hallucinate but nothing too visual, it can be like looking through water but it's hard to focus on anything because you lose control of your eyes a lot from the rushes. Music becomes the most amazing thing ever, especially dance music which is designed to enhance being on pills, every beat hits you and when there's a build up in the music you can pretty much lose it it feels so good because you can quite literally feel it rising up inside you.
Mentally you become like a kid again, everything is new and amazing again, basically like a kid at xmas, just dancing around and having fun. There is sense of community about being at a party where it's being taken, there's no spite, no suspicion, no tension, drama and nobody is fighting, everyone wants to do everything in their power to ensure you have a great time and will literally walk miles to a store just to get you a bottle of water if they think you need it. It's quite weird when I think about it but it's true.
What's it like during sex? Well when one single kiss makes your entire body explode in a feeling as strong and as great as an orgasm then you can imagine what the rest is like. Add to that the bond it creates and the insanely powerful feeling of love you get from it and it's the closest thing to a movie making love scene you will ever experience.
My best sexual experience was on a combination of that and LSD, 12 hours of on/off love making and lying naked exploring each other.
I would never recommend it to anyone, because it's not for everyone and all you have to do is look around you on a night out to see how idiotic people are while drunk to see some people just shouldn't drink but it's legal so I guess all the deaths caused by alcohol and the negative effects of alcohol are somehow okay but ecstasy isn't.
My experience is it's great fun, sex on it is quite amazing but like anything if you're stupid it will kill you or turn you into a basket case and like everything in life there are chances of harm. I have seen tonnes of people be stupid with it, do stupid things and abuse it and it has messed them up. But I can say the same for alcohol, working out, driving, computer games etc.

In my personal experience, ecstasy is my favourite drug, in it's pure form. Yes you can get bad pills mixed with all sorts or with no mdma in at all, but when you get the good ones, they are good. It's called ecstasy for a reason. Everyone experiences it differently and enjoys different effects over others. I think this depends on the type of person.
I have never taken in before sex, but it is on my bucket list. For me, I love the tactile, euphoric feelings I get in my body. It's hard to describe. Best way is that its like waves of orgasm in your whole body. It comes in rushes. Also you do feel really connected and close to people around you. you have amazing conversations and feel really close to people. As for having sex, for guys, I hear its near impossible to get it up.
As with all drugs, there are downsides. Come downs, the pill hang over can be pretty nasty. When I used to take em as a young thing, I didn't get much except for feeling tired and wired and disillusioned. They can lead to death, although for sake of argument, much, much rarer than alcohol related death, but then is that because alcohol is legal and readily available... apples n oranges...
Nowadays I wouldn't recommend anyone try a drug, but if the right opportunity arose, this is the only drug I would take again, if I knew they were good ones. I wasn't massively into drugs btw, I just had a wild period of my life. But that's what I can tell you. I had good times and wouldn't change em for the world :)
As for them leading to depression, I have had depression all my life on and off. I think people turn to drugs when they have low moods anyway, as they crave excitement. Not always. I'm just saying, is it a chicken n egg situation? Also, trivia for you, ecstasy was originally manufactured as an anti depressant.

Apparently it's a cross between an amphetamine and a hallucinogen. http://www.dare.com/home/DrugInformation/Story29bc.asp?N=DrugInformation&M=11&S=19
"Basically, it is a cross between an amphetamine and a hallucinogen and is taken in pill form. As a stimulant, it unleashes energy and is commonly used to help kids stay awake at a rave. Users also experience surreal, visual distortions.
Brain damage is only one potential problem. Ecstasy or MDMA decreases the body's ability to regulate temperature. Kids are taking Ecstasy at raves and ending up with heat stroke.
"Often kids at these drug fests get so revved up, they unwittingly mix different drugs. Youngsters who take Ecstasy or any illicit drug given away or peddled at giant gatherings take an immense health risk. “You never know what’s going to be in it, “ says the Drug Enforcement Administration’s expert on designer drugs. “We’ve seen Ecstasy pills that are only Excedrin and others that are pure amphetamine.”
"Ecstasy has a long list of known and suspected negative effects on abusers. It pumps up the heart rate and blood pressure, so users may become hyperactive. It can produce blurred vision, fainting, chills, sweating, muscle tension, and disorientation due to such effects as panic, anxiety, depression, and paranoid thinking."
------
I have never taken it, so I can't comment on its effects. People I know who have report they feel very happy and loving to other people. Here's another link: http://www.streetdrugs.org/html%20files/Ecstasy.html
"SHORT TERM EFFECTS:
Increased heart rate, blood pressure and body temperature; jaw and teeth clenching/muscle tension, hypertension, dehydration, chills and/or sweating, nausea, blurred vision, faintness, dizziness, confusion, insomnia, and paranoia."
"LARGE DOSE:
Muscle breakdown, hyperthermia, kidney failure and cardiovascular system failure."
"LONG TERM USE:
Depression, sleep disorders, paranoia, drug craving, persistent elevation of anxiety, liver damage, brain damage, paralysis, and possible others pending research."
----
Ecstasy the word was in use long before Ecstasy the drug.
Hope this helps.
