writes:Hi, there is this guy I am madly crazy about and today I kind of tried to make a move? Well, more like my friend tried to do it for me because I was too shy to ask. Any who, recently I've been getting mixed signals from this guy. I would receive long extended eye contacts, smiles, sideway glances everytime he walked past me, and so on. But on some days he would completely ignore the fact that I'm there! I have no idea what's going on seriously!So, today, having maintaining eye contact and receiving a smile from him I tried to make a move I guess? Well, my friend had a neat idea to write him a little note saying "Hey!" and see what happened after. My friend handed it to him and left swiftly. She told me that when she saw him again that day he gave her a weird look which was unpleasant. So now I'm wondering if he knows that I wrote it and think that I'm totally gross or thinks that my friend gave him the note? I don't know, I thought I've made it really clear to him that I like him but yeah... Thoughts? He hasn't replied and probably thinks I'm a total retard. I'm going to give it a few days to see what happens when I go back to class. But what are your thoughts?

reader, anonymous, writes (31 May 2011): Yep,i totally agree with the girl above. If you like the guy as much as you say you do, then go for it...life is all about taking chances! I used to see this guy in the cafeteria at my college, he was simply gorgeous, but i thought there was no way he would ever look my way, but one day he did, we made eye contact. It happened several times, but neither one of us would make a move. I never make the first move, but i was tired of waiting, there was something so intriguing about this guy, i couldnt stand it anymore. So, i prepared myself with a cheesy line, walked up to him and started talking. I was so nervous i was shaking, but it was so exhilarating! We sat and talked for about ten minutes before class started and he got my number and we started hanging out. Even if he wouldnt have asked for my number, it would have been worth it, because if i would have never went up to him it would probably still be eating away at me today that i never took that risk. So just go for it, walk up to him, and start talking! :) Good luck!

 Honestly, I think you may be reading too much into it. Reading signals, passing notes...a lot of guys view that as playing games, and I've never met a guy who likes that.
Best thing to do? Just ask him! Point blank. Walk up to him, make a little small talk, and ask if he'd like to go out for a coffee with you. See where it goes from there!
