writes:How do you guys keep confidence and not slip up?It's so aggravating, because I can be a confident guy, but I'm almost ALWAYS shy when I first meet a girl. It annoys the hell out of me. My heart pumps a little faster, I say rather plain things, and my voice is shaky (sometimes). This is the first 5-10 minutes though. After that, I become extremely confident, I become witty, she laughs, she's intrigued, and she flirts. I just don't know how not to be shy at first. I'm tired of it. It might have something to do with me being 17, not having had a girlfriend, and not having kissed a girl. I'm not ugly though, not lame, nor stupid. Girls have always liked me too. So why have I been single insofar? I wait and I don't make a move. I want to be sure the girl likes me first, even though my instinct says she is. The opportunity is there, but I guess I'm too shy to initiate beyond friendship.How do I become more confident?

Experience.
You're going to have to have your fair share of shaky high pitched, deer in headlights moments.
But in time it passes... just like acne ;)

I never knew that guys were shy! I'm shy when I first start talking to boys but if it's over the phone I'm compleatly confident!! The next time you meet a girl and want to have a relationship with her just remember that you can't loose what you never had. And also if u look good chances are that she will be into you.Girls love it when a boy has the sense to make her laugh( well at least I do lol) and the majority of my friends do to! But be serious when it's needed. It might help if you tell her your shy(?) ( this is just a guess) if a guy told me they were shy it would be cute... Girls like cutE .... It's sweet lol

 Experience and pratice.
The more you go out of your way to talk to girls the more confidents you'll bulid in talking to them.
If you find it hard to approach, make her come to you by flirting with your eyes.
Don't be afraid that you'll make a fool of yourself, just laugh it off she will too.
And never completely get into the friendship zone with her, because it really hard to move from friend to boyfriend.
Remember if you want a girlfriend girls like to be chased so you've gotta make the first move.
