How do you get your guy to seperate physical affection and sex?

A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

He does do some things seperately like holding hands or hugging. But like tickling or cuddling or play fighting always leads to sex! I really like sex but this makes me feel used, like everything he did was for sex. It'd be nice if he just jerked himself off sometimes. I mean hell I do...I don't always want sex I want affection with no strings. Like zero strings as in we don't fall asleep cuddling and wakeup and then fuck.

Maybe he feels 1+1=2 and you seems to think 1+1=3

As in... tickles and play fight usually leads to sex, so instead of either ASKING if you want sex or trying to seduce you, he tickles you thinking it will lead to sex. You are giving him mixed signals here.

There is the option of you telling him no, you know?

If you don't WANT sex at that time it's OK to say no thanks on the sex.

TALK boundaries.

And I think this guy might SHOW affection through sex. Whereas you feel cuddling is "enough".
