But anyway - on to your parents.
I think announcing that you are in love with a girl that you are cheating on your boyfriend with - will not get the greatest of reactions. It screams teenage drama.
I think if you want to be taken seriously then you need to bring her home as your girlfriend.
Split up with your boyfriend. Be "single" for a week or two and then mention that you have met someone new but it is a girl.
Let them digest that first and then let them see how serious you are with her before you go announcing that you are in love. They will believe actions far more than words.
