There is this guy who has a girl friend, he is also thirteen and I just want to be friends with him, as he is really nice guy, but I don't know how to get to know him better without it seeming like I'm flirting with him, because in that case he'll just stay away. I go to the park everyday with my brothers, and that's where I see him. I'm shy, and i am the only girl there, which makes it worse. What can I do?

 Just because you want to get to know a guy better and be a friend does not mean that you will automatically be looked at as if you are flirting with him. Just be friendly. I know being shy is really hard but just talk to him in general. Ask him how he is and ask him questions about himself and try and get to know him. There is nothing wrong with doing that.
