The only way to stop her being bossy is to stop listening to her when she is bossy. Either you dump her as a friend altogether, or just say 'uhhuh uhhuh uhhuh' when she starts being bossy, let your eyes glaze over, let her finish talking then say 'thanks for sharing your thoughts, you have so many good points' and then go out and do exactly as you please. Don't bother arguing or trying to change her mind. Just let her vent, if you can stand it, it's like mentally putting the phone down and walking away when someone is yakking away without waiting to hear your side.
Personally, I would be spending less time with her and not apologizing for that. Find other things you need to do that do not involve her. Don't make plans with her. Basically, it is like breaking up with a boyfriend...
