Some of us last till were Oaps some don't see 20,others never make it out of the womb. Some of us die tragically others peacefully, some are surrounded by loved ones others alone. But we all die eventually.
If you leave the house in the morning you may get run over by a bus, does it stop you leaving the house? does it stop you from sleeping? No because you've accepted it as a reality of life. Same as death.
I'm not saying switch off and ignore your feelings, its good and healthy to feel something, just don't let it take over your life. I know this is easy for me to say I've seen my fair share of death in every imaginable way. Which is why I'm saying it.
Good luck dont let the past stop your future. x
