My brother (13) has punched me twice in the last week just because he was annoyed, this is exactly what our dad used to do. Even though I'm older he always used to try and protect me from him so he took more beatings than me and we're very close.I can't tell our mom because she always used to condone the violence. What can I say/do to make sure he doesn't become a monster like our dad was.I'm 14 and his sister

Tell a councillor or a teacher, but make sure someone is aware of it. If it carries on, and your Mum condones it, then you should contact social services as technically this is child abuse on your Mum's part.
Let me know how you get on, and when your brother hits you, tell him he's turning into your Dad. When he realises this and remembers the pain you both suffered when you were younger, this might be his incentive to stop.
