writes: ok so me any my ex are at the same college. we were only together for about a month but we were friends before that for about three months. since we broke up we don't talk in college anymore and we never say hello to each other but recently he told me that he wants to try again. anyway i just thought he was interested in having sex so we didnt get back together.occasionally we speak online.hes seen me talking to a girl in college who he also talks to from time to time. He started a conversation with me online yesterday telling me that he knows that i have been spreading rumours about him telling every girl not to speak to him because he just wants them for sex. but i haven't!!!i think it was that girl in college that we speak to. iv told her some things about our relationship but i would never say that!anyways hes saying that if i don't go around and tell people the truth then he will expose some personal things about me? what can i do? im really scared as he knows a lot of things about my family? i wanna prove to him it wasn't me? the whole reason we broke up was because girls in our college were telling me not to trust him and spreading rumours like this.please help me. i don't want to lose him. he threatened me saying that hell **** me up if i mess with him again an he sed he wants to come to my house to sort all this out. but i got family staying with us. he was blanking my calls so i said 2 him if he doesn't answer the fone 2day then we are out of each others life an we will never speak again, im so scared. please help.

reader, anonymous, writes (6 April 2009): to be honest there is no way of proving that you didn't start that rumour but you could try talking to your ex and the girl you suspect has told him. speak to them seperately. if you calmly explain the situation to this girl then she might confess and if she realises the harm that she's ausing, she might tell him the truth too. sorry i couldn't help more. good luck!
