A female United Kingdom age 30-35, *ancakesYum writes:

There's this boy in my tutor group at school who is my best friend. I shall call him Bob. Recently Bob has asked me to go ice skating with him, just Bob and me. I said yes(obviously)and we're going on Friday. But I have no idea whether it's a date or just a going-out-having-fun-blah thing.

I always catch him staring at me in class and then holding it and looking away. He does other things which he never used to do, like touch my arm, compliments how I look and comes and talks to me alot more than he used to. I like it when he does but I find it a bit cringy!

If he asked me out, I'd say yes. I've started to like him more and more and I just want to know how to aproach this. What do I do? What do I say? Ect.

Also there is another boy in my class who I don't like, and does some of the same things. (He hasn't asked me on a "date" thank God.)

Last year he asked me out 4 times and I declined in a nice way. How do I tell him I don't like him?! He doesn't seem to get the message.

Thanks for listening to me moan. :]

Awww poor kid....

Unrequited love is awful, he just can't let go and trying constantly to change and adapt (like the lizard species I know all to well) to win you over!

What do you mean, what do you do?! Be yourself?! Be kind, sweet, caring, sensitive. Boys always like someone who puts in effort. Who understands where they're coming from. Listens to them about really complicated things...

What do you say!? Whatever he says in reply. Just talk about the normal stuff you would. I can't be specific because there is different things for different personalities. Example, evil person, good person =]

Why don't you just pull him aside, and just say I like you as a friend, but you want it to remain this way. Get over me or something kinder like that.

Read other peoples advice. Your not moaning. I'm moaning. I'm confused and tired! =]

Twarra, and goodnight!
