But we ended up being together about six hours in all; it was a lot of fun and we definitely hit it off. At the end, though, it got awkward... We had driven separately but parked next to each other at the back of the lot. When everything was over, instead of fighting the crowd of cars exiting, we decided to hang back and talk some more in the parking lot. A couple times, I mentioned maybe I should go but we kept hanging back talking. There was definitely attraction. But we were leaning on our separate cars, five feet away from each other. Eventually, as the lot was near empty, he ended up with me on mine to show me something on his iPod. And after what seemed an eternity but was probably more like five minutes, I cracked and finally just said I had to go. I felt bad immediately because I could tell he was disappointed. But it was just taking forever and my stomach couldn't take it.We'd already sort of set up another get together in a week. And when I got back I messaged him to tell him how much fun it was and I hope we do it again soon and he replied favorably. But just I don't know how to get back to that moment. It would have been the perfect first kiss and I feel bad for ruining it and wonder if I'd held out a minute longer... but c'est la vie. Any suggestions on how to make sure he knows I really am interested and recoup from my faux pas? Reply to this Question Share |
