Since meeting her I haven't been able to think past her, she's been on my mind all day. Sadly tho she is only 14, soon to be 15 in a months time, but she smokes and drinks. I don't have a problem with it I just find it unattractive. Nothing would ever happen, I know this for sure and I know it is only a silly little crush, something which shall pass, but how do I keep her off my mind?

reader, anonymous, writes (18 October 2011): I think it'll take time but at least you already know nothing will happen and it's just a little crush. Chat to other girls your age and you'll soon be distracted, especially if they appeal to you by not being a drinker or a smoker. Going out with other mates where she won't be around will help too. Concentrate on college and get to know new people as it's still fairly new in the term.
