(until im 20 =.=) im scared! people in my school are in a scholarship program even though i get WAY higher marks than them,(my lowest average is math which is 94%) so maybe its bcuz of my record? how do i get them to remove it [i hope its possible]....btw im in grade 8. lol... I didn't post this question to be insulted by you..
I talked to my teacher and they said that if i want, next year, i could be accelerated to grade 10. (or next sem, to see if i could handle it)

Dont worry hun, unless your school is very strict they shouldn't hold it against you, I mean even teachers were young once! Apparently... lol :)
I would have a quiet word with a teacher you can trust about this, just ask how you can improve more so you can be considered for this scolorship. They will love the fact you want to improve! Good luck!

Go and talk to someone senior in the school.
Ask to speak to them in confidence and ask them what it says on your record. Ask them why you aren't on the scolarship programme and what you need to do to be considered.

reader, anonymous, writes (5 January 2009): I wouldn't worry about it. In my experience permanent records don't actually exist. We all do goofy things in the 7th grade (and alas in high school and college and I'm assuming beyond that too). Even if it is in your record somewhere I can't fathom it transferring to high school with you let alone college and even if it did I can't imagine anyone would take it seriously (even teachers were 13 once upon a time) - especially as it sounds like a one time occurrence.As for the scholarship thing, go talk to your guidance counselor or a teacher about it. It may simply be that you have to apply to get in or that an extracurricular activity you lack is required? And if the makeout session is by some chance the black mark on your record they'll let you know.Best of luck and try not to worry too much!
