 In reality, both your ex and your former best friend have deeply betrayed you. You might want to reconsider having either one in your life again, being that trust is a major factor in any relationship, let alone a romantic one. Betrayal is hard to deal with for any human being. I would recommend being more cautious around your girlfriend and letting her know exactly how you feel about the situation. If she is a quality and loving girlfriend, she will help you through this hard time!
