writes: i met a great guy in july and we stating seeing each other, we had five great days together. than i had to go home and neither of us wanted me to go home. we were really happy and than i went out one nite and a old friend starting being nasty to me about him and saying hurtful things. so i beleive her and i ask him and he got angry about it, and he finish with me. he wanted space and time to sort him head out but i counldnt leave him alone as i wanted to explain to how i feel and why i listen to a friend over him. he stop reply to my texts, than one day i text him asking to meet me and he did, but it went wrong as i couldnt tell him how i really feel and what i wanted to say. and now ive found out he seeing someone else, but he not happy with her. i still really like him and want him back. how can i get him back?

reader, anonymous, writes (25 October 2008): You can't get him back 'per se' you can only offer friendship and to keep intouch the decision to finish with his current grlfriend needs to come from him. Then make it known you're available, and you like him. He may feel however having had a couple of run ins with you that any relationship with you may be too intense and he may choose to stay clear of you, that would be down to him.
what I would say is stay clear while he is still in a relationship as any interference from you may have an adverse reaction, especially given your past encounters with him.
