A female United States age 36-40, anonymous writes:

I'm a sophmore in college, my boyfriend is a freshman, we go to different schools. We've been dating for 2.5 years, on sunday, he called me and said he's been cheating on me since january. he was sober, he had made-out/cuddled 5+ times, and he was questioning whether our love had faded. he was a very innocenct guy, i'm his first real girlfriend, he was very loyal and honest person. we had talked about getting married someday and i still love him, but is he even that guy anymore? i saw him many weekends and visited him and he lied to my face, he says he never wants to lose me and he even cries a lot. but the girl is still going to be hanging out with his group of friends, and he lied for such a long time? how do i forgive him?

I would not bother. Find someone your own age (he is younger right?) and he sounds like a complete idiot.
