What does someone do to fill the void after being left,I don't want to fall into the addiction trap and where besides a bar can someone meet refreshing happy people? This must sound so lame but I feel completely lost.

Oblivia agony auntTell all your friends that you need to meet new people. I did that after my ex-ex and I was amazed how understanding and inventive my friends were, I had no idea. And none of them made anything out of it to embarrass me or make the situations feel set up or awkward in any way; they just kept me in mind every time there was some event going on where there would be an opportunity to meet new people, both men and women, to make friends with. After only two months I met a new, really nice man (not that it lasted more than half a year and I do realize it wasn’t such a good idea to rush into something new so quickly, but anyway, I had lots of fun and still have new friends). Other than that, I think Beckto’s idea of Swingdance is really cool; you will maybe meet a whole new kind of people and do something completely new (unless you didn’t swingdance before;-))

Wish you luck!

Butterflyfly agony auntSome people dont ever leave a relationship or procastinate leaving precisely because they are so afraid of dealing with the life after, on their own.. It seems like there is no life after, especially when we get so used to knowing there is someone there, good or bad, all the time.

I hope you will be ok, and identify this as an opportunity to refresh yourself and your life, by doing new things and making the most of what you are and what you have.. and if you have been dumped, you wouldn't want to be in a relaitonship with that person anyway, would you? I hope you will heal and quickly give yourself some opportunities for fun and laughter and a light approach to things..Holidays, makeovers, new friends, cheeky stuff, etc etc the sky is the limit!! :)

Beckto agony auntSWING DANCE!

I'm serious. Give it a shot. It's healthy, most of the time they drink water, great music, and you get to meet a ton of people. They're a very refreshing group of people, and there are groups all over the U.S. (and UK). Send me a PM and I can hook you up, if you're interested.
