Make sure first that you follow all the same advice women dish out to men everywhere web-wide about mood & so on. (I don't mean candles and romantic music, necessarily. I mean, be cozy.) If a guy is not reasonably relaxed, it just may not work out.
Second, don't be fooled into thinking all areas are equally pleasureable. The wrong sources will give you all kinds of bizarre ideas about what feels good, but there's really just one area that is a source of climax-able pleasure; the area at and just below the frenulum, rubbed, stroked (not abraded), or moved up and down the shaft. You can google or hit wikipedia for an explanation and pictures of the frenulum.
Third, your position so you don't get tired. I'm thinking, if you're right handed, use that hand, and sit to his right. Wrap you hand right around; try to avoid making a lot of fingernail contact. And don't go at it fast and furious from the start; you'll wear yourself out to no purpose. Tease.
