writes: Ok..Well i am an 18 year old girl and i have this huge problem with half of my family!! my mothers sister has been drinking constantly to get attention from other men even though she is married. well recently she started hitting on my dad which has been causing problems between my parents. not too long ago i had assaulted her cuz she said that she will break up our happy home to get what she wants. but that didnt make anything better, when my mother and i went to durham for my baby brothers eye surgery my aunt stayed the night with my dad while we were gone..how do i handle this and how do i help my mother through this?? As hard as it may be for you to do I think you need to let your parents handle your aunt. It is going to be hard not to get involved but at the end of the day this sounds more like a marital issue rather than a family issue. Your dad is a married man and he needs to put your aunt in her place when she comes on to him. I feel bad for your Mom, but she has to be a women and stand up to her sister and her husband and demand some Damn R-E-S-P-E-C-T !!!
Just be there for her when she needs you, but she has to handle this. Good Luck MOM.
