My friend tried this and said it prevented the rash and ingrown hairs and also made the skin feel soft. You don't put the dove on your vulva or near your vagina.
Next, use a schick quattro razor. I prefer the men's titanium model because it lasts longer than others. This specific brand of razor has a tiny wire wrapped around the blades that prevents the skin around the hair follicles from being shaved off which can cause a rash and irritation, but gives you a super close shave that feels hairless when you are done.
Finally, if you use a scented shaving cream, switch to one that is unscented and for sensitive skin. (edge is one brand that makes an unscented silky smooth shaving cream with oatmeal for sensitive skin.) fragrances can cause or worsen skin irritation. Finally, if you prefer to use bar soap for lathering up to shave, use unscented dove brand moisturizing bar soap (not the body wash, it doesn't work nearly as well.)
