A female United Kingdom age 26-29, anonymous writes:

Help i have fallen for my sister's White friend after dancing at family wedding.

lets start form the beginning. I am a 20 year old Hindu girl and my sister and her friend are 23.

recently we all got invited to my cousins wedding.

at the reception I chose to sit alone as I have always been shy and weddings always upset me as I have never had a boyfriend as all the boys in school think I'm a Geek so I always worry that I will never find anyone.

at some point in the night he(the friend) asked me to dance I didn't really know what to say so I allowed myself to be taken up to the dace floor. to my utter embarrassment is was a slow song. I was blushing like mad as apart from us there was only four other people on the dance floor. and as he pulled me in close I could here the other guests whispering and going awww. someone even whispered that we looked cute together.

after the dance we spent the rest of the night talking and I was shocked that we had so much in common (even thow I have known him years we have never really spoken beond hellos).

at the end of the night he passed on his number to me and even gave me a little peck on the cheek.

anyway the point is I think I have fallen for him, my question is how do i combat my shyness and tell him I like him. I am almost 90% sure that he feels the same way as my sister told me so but there is a chance that she is teasing me. what do I do?

I say get to know him more before you commit to expressing your true feelings. That one occasion was the first time you had a proper conversation with him. Yes it is amazing that you both have so much in common and it could be an amazing relationship, but you want to build a friendship first that progresses into a relationship. There's no hurry. And when you feel comfortable with him, you can choose how you want to share your feelings :)
