reader, anonymous, writes (9 November 2007): Okay, don't change yourself for him, trust me I have made that mistake. Go up and talk to him. Ask him something about school, or say hi next time you see him, and maybe he will take over. If he is more shy, talk , hey that is what girls are best at.

 You need to relax and make a VERY casual approach. Try to meet friends who hang out with him or join a club or sport he enjoys. After you've been around with him it will usually be easy to look for and start a conversation in something you think he might be interested. Just make sure to be casual although letting him know he can come and speak to you if he wishes to. Then, the next step, belongs to him. Good luck!

But if think it would be a good idea to try and talk sometime. Are you in the same year at school, or go to the same club, or does he just live down the road?! Either way, the bst thing to do would be to find a common interest get near him and then just start talking! Oh and another thing - RELAX when you're around him. Be patient, and best of luck! x x x
