A female reader, Starlights United Kingdom +, writes (2 November 2009):

Starlights agony auntPart of growing up is changing as a person.

You may find that friends you have grown up with change and you have nothing in common.

Trust your instincts.

If you feel your friends are talking about you then they most probably are.

The best way to find out is you could have a polite word with them and ask them what they have been saying.

You can also ask them to respect you.

If you have made your mind up to avoid them then stop meeting up with them, make your excuses.

You deserve to be respected by all your friends so try talking to them all first and if that does not work -pull away totally.

Goodluck
