A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Im 19 and im guessing he's like 22 or 23. I dont really talk to him in class, but he always looks at me and he for sure knows my name because he gave me my quiz back without me telling him my name while everyone else did. I want to show him im interested but I dont know what to say. I was gonna ask for help with the class but he doesnt have office hours and all i know is his student email and his facebook is private. How should I go about this or is it a bad idea? he's really cute lol

Basschick agony auntThe next time he looks at you, just smile and let your eyes linger on his face just a moment longer than usual. Say hello to him. Ask him how his week-end was, or did he watch the game, or something to break the ice. Seem non-challant and you'll create an inviting atmosphere that doesn't seem like you're desperate to know him, but you're interested. If he responds to you, then ask him if he wants to grab some coffee after class one day and mention a nearby cafe, or bookstore. Ask him if he's seen any good movies, or read any good books, just let things happen naturally. More than likely, he's just as hesitant as you are to make the first move, but someone's gotta do it. And men like a woman who's a little confident. Good luck.

can you add him to facebook?

great way is to forget something in his class or pretend you did and then email him feeling really sorry to bother him but did he saw your calculator/ backpack etc cause you forgot it there. if you're feeling really flirty you could add something light like "maybe I was a bit distracted :P "

depending how he answers should kind of seal it for you if he's just to the point and doesn't say much you could email him a few days later (don't respond immediately) with

"hey thanks I actually found it at home when I came back from --- and then mention some interesting activity he might catch on or that might make him more interested in you.

if he emails you back in a friendly way then just play along but don't answer him daily give it a 24 hrs in between you can write a draft but DONT send it before 24 hrs.

if he's cute he might have other girls stalking him and he will find it refreshing that you're more normal and laid back.
