there's a guy at work who i have really started to develop feelings for, we work together every week and have started to have a little bit of banter with each other, but i can't tell if he's flirting or just acting how he does with everyone else. i want to ask him out, but i'm not sure how to, or whether it's a good idea. he;s also a few years older. help.

TomWilkinson agony auntAsk him out in exactly the same way you would anyone else, with being in the UK I'll assume you're already going out on a weekend like we all were!

Keep it cool and friendly, just give him your number, ask if he want's to go for some food, a drink, whatever. By doing that you can gauge his reaction, but also you can also use the age old "as a friend" line if you don't feel that your feelings are reciprocated.
