How do I approach this woman, I am female as well?

Question - (12 November 2008) 1 Answers - (Newest, 12 November 2008)
A female United States age 41-50, *arob writes:

I am female and attracted to a female coworker. I am straight, and I believe she is too (she recently broke up with a boyfriend), and she has a son from her ex-husband. We seem to have a mutual attraction, but not enough for me to figure this out. I haven't been attracted to another female like this before, but I can't stop thinking about her. I am completely clueless as to how females flirt with each other. Is it the same as how I act when flirting with a man? So confused...any answers or opinions would be great.

A female reader, anonymous, writes (12 November 2008):

i was in the same situation when i was younger, ask your female friend if she would like to go out for a few drinks and see how you both interact with one another out of the work scene. females flirtation is the same, holding eye contact and a flirty smile is a really easy way to say your interested but if they don't take it the way you wanted it could easily go as a friendly gesture
