writes:Hi..first of all i would like to thank you all in advance for your advice..I'm not very good at writing on these things so please bare with me..So here is my dilemma : there is this really cute girl with whom i would like to go out with..i see her almost everyday in the university library..it seems that she has noticed me (which is good i guess..lol) ...i wanted to know what will be the best way to approach her and ask her out (make her laugh will be a good start)...it should be noted that our age is between 21-26, we are not in class together ( i see her only in the library), i have never talked to her before and she looks very serious (she never smiles), this is one of the reason i have not talked to her yet..lol..I'm usually not shy with women..its just that its been different with her..oh and one last thing its been only a week that i've taken noticed of her...your answers will be greatly appreciated..thank you so much

 I understand why you would find it hard to approach her if she never smiles. It would make anybody nervous to approach her. But off course you should give yourself a chance and see how it goes. Try taking things slowly though, smile at her whenever you see her and say hello and see how she responds to you. If she says hello back smile again and then next time you see her just make small conversation to see how she responds. By this stage you should be able to tell if she is interested in talking to you or not, if she seems interested well then just simply ask her would she like to have a drink with you some evening and take it from there.
