Is your boyfriend going to be paranoid about you going off with this guy or think you are enjoying it more with him.
Make sure you talk everything through with your boyfriend.
If you are certain you want to go through with it then get him in a quiet area and mention it to him. Don't be nervous because it will make him nervous.
Always use protection.

If you only know him from work, and very casually, then it might be best to leave it alone.
If he is a friend of yours, and you two trust him, then maybe both of you take him out to dinner and ask so he knows that both of you are consenting.
I was once asked by complete strangers, lol, and they were so funny and so honest, that it didn't sound half bad (I was married at the time, and my husband wasn't as keen on the idea)
