writes: Just a quick survey:I have heard that about 80% of women can’t orgasm through penetrative intercourse alone. I have been with one girl who could and one who couldn’t. So in my very limited experience it’s about 50/50.What do you think it is?

The suggestion by "hlskitten" is probably about right, although it may be optimistic. According to a study by the University of Chicago in 1994 titled "Sex in America Survey," less than one-third of women can achieve orgasm via penetration alone. Yet, add 20 minutes or more of proper foreplay, and up to 90 percent of women can reach orgasm, according to research by Alfred Kinsey (c1948) and Masters and Johnson (c1970). Much subsequent research seems to bear out these estimates.
