She's obviously heard good stuff about me. But I've never been to a prom before, and i don't know when to be with the girl. We're both arriving seperately!!! And how do I really treat her like a princess? Reply to this Question Share |

Hey sweetness,
Can you pick her up? Because that's super sweet... a very chivalrous gesture. Also, pick her up a really gorgeous corsage, offer to get the prom pictures taken.
DO NOT FORGET TO TELL HER THAT SHE LOOKS UNBELIEVABLE (my prom date didn't say anything and I still get sad about it years later). Don't just tell her once. Tell her when you first see her and then maybe while you're dancing towards the end of the night, or when you drop her off.
Definitely snag a few dances with her and just give her the attention she deserves. If she sees her girlfriends and runs off with them for a little bit - let her do her girl thing but be there for her when she comes back.
Have a great time at prom! I'm sure you'll make her night wonderful. I wish you had been my date!

Here are my best ideas:
-Is it still possible to change your transportation plans? A neat way to treat her like a princess is to surprise her by picking her up.
If you can arrange it with a friend of hers or someone in her family to make sure to keep her in the house until you show up and escort her, she'll be pleasantly surprised.
-If you have a little cash, present her with a corsage too- and be a gentleman and put it on for her too. Makes her feel special.
-And about the transport- I'm not even talking about a stretch limo, either- even just a car, or something fun. I remember a friend of mine surprised his girlfriend by showing up in a school bus- she was laughing about it the whole night as she was telling people the story. :)
-Are you guys in the same friend circles? If you are, it might be more comfortable to sit beside each other, but in a table with friends, so the conversation is fun and light. Make sure you do all the little stuff for the night, like pulling out her chair for her [hopefully she won't take it as chauvinistic], and talking to her- and- just smiles are great too!
When the dance floor opens up, ask her for the first dance, before anyone else asks her.
-Just be yourself! Obviously she thinks you're a good guy, she's your prom date, right?
-And lastly, I promise she will notice all the small efforts, whatever you may chose to do, that you made.
Hey, the prom food may suck, the teacher chaperone's may be sucky, but go out and have fun anyway! Good luck!
