 You can control the rumour mill by not giving any juicy tit bits to them. Keep all your secrets close to your heart and don't even let your best friend see what is in your heart.

reader, anonymous, writes (11 May 2010): Unfortunately there's no way to "control" gossip/rumors. Sometimes you just have to wait until it all dies down and goes away. Eventually someone else becomes the target of all the gossip and the gossip about you will be forgotten. For the time being, just hold your head high and don't let it get to you. Best of luck!
