How can I take the initiative and show him I like him without coming on too strong?

A female age , anonymous writes:

I have fallen for a guy I used to work for. He does not know it yet but the attraction has been growing for months. I can tell he is attracted to me also by the way he looks at me and some things he says.

I am worried we are going to drift apart now that we are not working together any more. he has invited me to feel free to ask for help with my job searching and any thing else I may need. In a way he is keeping the door open but I still feel a sense of sadness that I never really told him how I feel and I feel he may slip through my fingers.

Maybe he knows as he may had read my body language. Has anyone any ideas as I am trying not to come on too heavy but I can feel some strong chemistry between us. I do not want to embarrass him or myself. I find initiating relationships difficult and I feel he is either shy or cautious.

Any advice welcomed.
