writes: What can I do to show/tell my teacher how much she helped me?Basically, I was disapointed with my last set of Chemistry results. (one mark off an A)In March we had the next set of exams. I asked my teacher to help with revision. So she sat with me for hours after school every day. Then yesterday I found out I gotten full marks. (50/50)So I just want to do something how much this teacher means to me. She makes the lessons amazing and I really like her, I almost see her as a mother. (She has helped me with some other issues) I just need a way of telling her what she has done for me. Thanks for any help! Xx

Oh WOW! I have been in exactly the same situation but I have a crush on my teacher who helped me on the road to success, he is such a beaut. I got a B in unit C1b then through revision sessions with him for a week or so every day after school I managed top marks (50/50) yet again :D
I thank him every day and let him know that I am grateful for the opportunity and the time that he put in with me. A regular smile and amusing conversation between us is what I feel is good enough thanks for now and he knows he did the right thing for me and his reward is seeing a pupil flourish. Getting the best grades out of people who want to do well is surely all a teacher can ask for. Oh I wish we could have more time together but enough about my crush on a chemistry teacher who I will sadly leave behind in a few weeks when I move on to sixth form...
Congratulations on your grade and good luck for the future!

Help, I am going to go with your suggestion and say thank-you to her after class on Wednesday, and then at the end of the year giving her a card and a small present to say thank-you. x

You can also keep in touch with her as a friend after you've moved to the next grade or school. A good teacher can be your friend and mentor for life. :)

Probably the most appropriate thing would be to give her a nice card. That's something she can treasure forever -- teachers seldom get that kind of recognition. She'll be very pleased to be thanked. Good for you!
