So, I've started seeing a new guy this week after I broke up with my ex of 3 years. I met up with him on Monday night and we just chilled at his house. I got home and he text me saying he nearly went in for a cheeky kiss as i was leaving. So we met up wednesday night and we started cuddling as we watched a movie. He bought us a takeaway and it was lovely. It got late so i started to leave and as i did he pulled me in for a kiss. Since then (wednesday) I've had ONE text from him. It's now Saturday. Am i just looking too much into this as I haven't dated for so long?? He works for the same company as me just in a different branch and everyone i know in the company says that he tells them he really likes me. Any help here?? I like him!! We started seeing each other last yr but we stopped as my ex came back on the scene and scared him away. If its this that's stopping him, how can i show him Im serious this time??? HELP!?!?!?!

You don't say how long it is since you split with your ex but I don't blame this guy if he is being careful this time. If you are sure you will never return to your ex, talk to the new guy or just let things happen slowly.

Well you have a past yet hes still got involved showing hes interested. I dont think showing him its serious is what he needs, you just need to communicate a lot more and get to know each other, its so easy to jump in too fast and watch it all go wrong so take time first why not drop him a text? be breif yet leave it as questioning indicating you want a reply. One text is fine, he might not want to appear to full on and scare you off, he may be a respectful man whos waiting for you, there are so many possibilities as to why it may seem like hes holding back and you need to ask him in order to get the answer!

Its always hard having to adjust after a long relationship but you always need to progress or you find yourself falling back so forget the past and dont let it dictate your future, i dont think your ex is the problem its the sudden break down of communication that has caused an abrupt end to something that could of been in a sperate league of its own. Talk to him and find a way forward together.
