writes: I know problems like this must have been asked like a thousand times before, so I apologize.I'm in college and next week is the university's anniversary, so a lot of activities and competitions will take place. A lot of parties, etc. And there is this one competition that sickens me. They choose several girls and choose "Miss Legs", "Miss Ass", "Miss Waist" and "Miss Boobs" (and of course Miss Boobs means Miss BIG Boobs). Something like that. The point is they choose the hottest girls in those different categories, and they are presented in skimpy clothes for all guys to drool over.I have small boobs (this still gets to me since my sister, mom, and grandma are chesty... I got these small breasts from my dad's side). I have crappy legs, awful butt, etc. I'm not skinny and gorgeous. And I feel like crap with these things, especially since there isn't a similar competiton for guys, it's just girls, girls, girls! Also because most of the parties include female strippers and such. My boyfriend is in college with me and it upsets me even more that when we all go (his friends, my friends and us), of course they all look and drool at these girls. I really feel like utter sh*t compared to these women. I'm not stupid. I know my boyfriend thinks - even if just subconsciously - that they are hotter. Hey, I'm just a girl! I know he loves me, but who can honestly say that they LOVE that their boyfriend looks at almost naked classmates?!I hate my body, sometimes I wish I was more stupid if I could only have a nicer body... the problem is, most of these girls aren't even stupid, they are hot and smart! Grrr! How can I feel better if I have nothing to compensate? I hate college! Everyone is so superficial and all they think about is sex, excuse me, naked GIRLS, because God forbid there's a naked guy!Ugh! I really needed to vent! Ok, so this is next week, how can I not freak out when we go to these parties and see so many naked/almost naked girls while I'm with my boyfriend and no naked/almost naked guys? It's a bit unfair, isn't it?

reader, anonymous, writes (27 April 2009): I have to say I feel the exact same.I avoid these parties like the plague as it just makes me feel bad. your boyfriend should respect you and if he really wants to go let him go with his friends and then come back to you afterwards.

You have more respect then those girls who are willing to show off their boobs, ass and whatever assets they have. Did you ever think those girls have insecurities themselves as well? Just because they have a body they can be classified as miss boobs, etc. does not mean they don't have their issues. Even if they are smart as you say, why go out there and disrespect yourself? You are not superficial and if your boyfriend can see through all that, you are okay. Naked girls are a show, and nothing else because a man wants a women who has respect for herself. No, I don't think you have a crappy butt, etc. whatever you are saying. Your boyfriend should like you for who you are and must think you are beautiful to be with you. These parties are a show and nothing else.
