Hi!Yeh like the others I'd advise joining a slimming group. I've joined Slimming World but Weight Watchers also works just as well. Slimming groups are great for support and for keeping you motivated and on track. It's easier to give up if you're on your own. Plus these are safe, healthy diets to lose weight on.I would not advise trying to crash diet and lose A LOT of weight before christmas. 1 This is dangerous and unhealthy, and 2 it doesn't work long term, as soon as you start eating normally you will gain it back and then some. I'm talking from experience.Don't set yourself too high a target. Aim for 1 to 3 lb a week. You deserve a boyfriend who will love you and find you sexy whatever your size so don't worry if you don't lost all the weight you want before you see him. I'd say you could lose around half a stone to a stone before Xmas, depending on your size. If you have much more to lose I'd say aim to do it, for yourself, not just for your bf, long term with support of a slimming club or family and friends. Also a little exercise helps too.Good luck :)

My motto is always "never change yourself to please someone else". So please think about this carefully. However, you mention wanting to feel sexy again, if it's to make yourself feel better, then - Slimming World, would recommend it to anyone.
Personally, I put on 5 stone last year (comfort eating etc), and was overweight to say the least.
Joined in April and have lost 2 stone so far, most of which I lost in the first few weeks. I'm a big eater myself, and that diet lets you eat loads, but still lose weight.
However, make sure you actually NEED to lose weight first, as in, make sure you're overweight.
